Emails you'll get
What the system emails you about and what you can opt out of.
Always on (tied to your assignments)
These are the emails you can’t opt out of, because they’re the whole point of the tool:
- Magic-link sign-in — when you click “Sign in,” we email a one-tap link. Valid for about 15 minutes, single-use.
- Quarterly kickoff — at the start of each quarter, a single email listing every Sunday you’re on for the next ~13 weeks.
- Weekly reminder — every Friday morning around 10am Pacific, for the upcoming Sunday. Tells you the role, arrival time, and co-volunteers.
- Swap response — when someone accepts or declines your swap proposal, or when someone proposes a swap to you.
- Coverage claimed — when someone picks up a coverage request you opened.
Can be turned off in your profile
- Coverage broadcasts — by default, when another volunteer opens a coverage request for a role you’re approved for, we email you so you can pick it up. If you’d rather watch the coverage board yourself, you can turn this off at /me/profile.
- Admin announcements — occasional broader notes from the deacons (e.g. “new catechism material starting in Q3”). Rare.
Where emails come from
All email from this site comes from deacons@trinitaschurch.com. If it’s going to spam, allowlist that address. If you haven’t heard from us in a while and think you should have, check there first.
